1. BOILER WATER CHEMICAL INDION 162 Liquid Oxygen Scavenger APPLICATION: Dissolved oxygen is a serious cause of corrosion in steam generating systems. INDION 162 liquid oxygen scavengers is recommended for the rapid and complete removal of dissolved oxygen chemically from feed water and boiler water. The materials formulated into this convenient liquid treatment ensure optimum results when used in accordance with control procedures established by IEI for specific applications. Our Sales Engineer will establish proper dosage requirements and a control range based upon your specific operating conditions. INDION 162 can be fed either direct from the drum or in dilute aqueous solution. Chemical feed pumps and piping should be of stainless steel grade 316. Chemical tanks may be constructed of either stainless steel grade 316 or polyethylene. Continuous feed of INDION 162 is recommended for optimum results. LIMITATIONS AND HANDLING: Harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If material gets on skin, wash with plenty of water. If eyes are affected, immediately flush with water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention. Use protective clothing, gloves and goggles.
